All financial technology companies licensed by the Bank of Ghana and by their respective regulators – BoG; Securities and Exchange Commission; National Insurance Commission; National Health Insurance Authority; NPRA, SSNIT, GhIPSS and RCB Apex Bank.
We are delighted to introduce to you our novel awards scheme: The Ghana Financial Technology Awards. This unique awards scheme aims to, for the very first time in Ghana, identify and publicly recognize the financial technology enterprises that stand out from their peers across a wide range of aspects of their core activities – the design of financial technology driven products and services, both own their own and in partnership with financial institutions or other collaborators.
This awards scheme is novel for the fact that it is the first time that industry leaders across the emergent financial technology industry will be assessed as separate type of activity. Please note that the awards are for the fintech industry as a whole and not just specialized fintech enterprises. Therefore, financial services providers are also included, adjudged by the financial technology driven products and services they offer, whether through specialized fintechs or through their own proprietary design and delivery capacities.
The Ghana Financial Technology Awards are being organized in recognition of the increasingly pivotal role in the design delivery and use of financial services and products in Ghana, where many financial services providers already consummate more than half of their business with their customers or on their behalf to third parties, through digital channels.
